After taking an extended hiatus from making art, I jumped back into painting and drawing with trepidation, anxiety, and excitement. It was tough getting acquainted with the creative process again, but very rewarding.

I spent a lot of time experimenting and getting comfortable with digital art in Krita.

I also started using custom brush packs, in particular David Revoy's 2023 brush pack.

I purchased a Huion Kamvas 13 as well as a Lenovo Yoga L13 Thinkpad Gen 2, which became my daily driver; most of these sketches were made on the latter device.

Since I was focused on finding my footing with a digital workflow, I mainly stuck to my comfort zones of loose figurative work and random self portraits.

I completed one major comission: a portrait of my coworker's dog, Opie, for his mother's birthday.
